Mindful Yoga classes in Bristol

My Mindful Yoga classes usually take place in Bristol.

They are suitable for people of all ages and abilities as I adapt the poses to suit each body.  Every body is unique and can gain from these classes.  

I teach using the mindfulness techniques of focusing on the breath and connecting the mind into the body.  

 

Currently my yoga classes are being run online via Zoom due to COVID19 restrictions until June 2021 and will be reviewed then.

The Summer Term runs from the 19th April till the 28th May 2021

 

All my classes follow the school term dates so I don't teach during the holidays and half term breaks.

Mindful Yoga 4 All Evening Class

Tuesdays 6 - 7pm

Women's Yoga Class

 

Tuesdays 11.15-12.15am 

Term time only

Usually:  at St Werburghs Community Centre, Horley Road, St Werburghs, Bristol BS2 9TJ

Cost:

£30 for a six week block.

£6 per Drop in Class.

These gentle yoga sessions are designed for women of all ages and abilities. They are for mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and aunties to come together from all backgrounds and practice some gentle, mindful movement together in a safe and held space.

 

We will practice yoga poses, breathing and relaxation exercises to stimulate, inspire as well as relax your mind and body.  The aim of the sessions is to allow women to practice together, exploring new ways of moving, discovering how to connect with the breath and finding space and freedom from within the joints of the body, therefore feeling healthier, lighter, more spacious and at ease.

 

Mindful Yoga 4 All Class

Thursdays 9.30-10.45 am

Term Time only

Usually:  at the Wild Goose Space in St Werburghs Bristol.

Cost: 

The cost is £48 for the 6 week term or £10 drop in rate.

You can come along to try a session before you decide and the cost then is £10 per session. 

 

This is a lovely venue nestled in the heart of St Werburghs, just round the corner from the Farm Pub and Cafe, as you enter the self build Yard.  It has underfloor heating and is very naturally lit.

 

Breathe, Connect and Be

Thursdays 12.30 - 1.30pm

The 'art' of yoga is at the heart of yoga. Our bodies are like a unique and exquisite instrument: exploring how we move is like learning to play music. Engaging our curiosity whilst moving with the breath is like experimenting with melody, tone, volume and pitch. In this way our practice can become more like a meditative dance where the breath, body, mind and soul are interconnected and we become more in tune with ourselves, each other, and the earth.

 

Through exploring our bodies in this way, we can truly get to know ourselves and connect with the world in a more authentic, peaceful and joyful way. The body can begin to heal itself from pain and disease that results from continued stress and strain. We can become truly in tune with ourselves.

 

Through this course of mindful yoga: You will learn how to connect the breath to the movements of the body so that movement becomes more holistically connected and graceful. You will learn how to work with gravity to explore connection to both the ground below and the sky above so that a sense of groundedness and rootedness is developed and then a sense of freedom and ease can arise. You will learn to connect inwards to the somatic feel of the body and let that sense guide you in terms of what movements feel right for you in each moment.

 

Outdoor Mindful Yoga Class

 

Mondays in the Yard Garden

These gentle yoga sessions are designed for adults of all ages and abilities. 

We will practice yoga poses, breathing and relaxation exercises to stimulate, inspire as well as relax your mind and body.  The aim of the sessions is to us to practice together, exploring new ways of moving, discovering how to connect with the breath and finding space and freedom from within the joints of the body, therefore feeling healthier, lighter, more spacious and at ease.

Restorative Yoga Class

I also run small restorative classes at my home. 

If you have a couple of friends who would like to practice together, please get in touch. 

I also run 1:1 Yoga Therapy Sessions at my house looking at specific needs/issues related to the body, stress, emotions etc.

Usually:  Run in person in my yoga space or via Zoom.  

You can buy these sessions for yourself or you might like to give them to a friend or loved one for a beautiful and nourishing Xmas or birthday gift.
